WHAT
CAN YOU DO WITH A PHILOSOPHY MAJOR?
(Socrates
says: There are big differences
between
reality and
appearances!)
Here's the apparent, superficial, shallow, mindless and short answer: hardly anything interesting, or worthwhile or profitable . . . except maybe be a "philosopher" (which would only appeal to a few nerds, right?).

But the real, thorough, deep, thoughtful answer is quite different! It is, naturally, also a good bit longer, so you'll have to read on to really understand it. Briefly, however, here are some career options for a philosophy major: business, law, politics, medicine, management, journalism, insurance, administration, government, computer technology, foreign service, international commerce, banking, the ministry, public service Now if you're thinking:
"How is this possible? You can't be serious! What
does philosophy have to do with any
of those careers? " - - - Then click on some of the options below!
