Finish the Corcoran handout.  Questions:

1) Corcoran, with his constitution view, and the three alternative views he criticizes, are all trying
to deal with basically the same problem.  Explain what the problem is.  What would be a way,
other than these four, of dealing with the same problem?

2) Explain each of the three alternative views in your own words, in such a manner that someone
who had not read the article could understand what you are talking about!

3) For each of the four views, how would it respond to these questions:

 a) Can a person cease to exist without his/her body ceasing to exist?  Why?

 b) Can a person’s body cease to exist without that person ceasing to exist?  Why?
